La Serpiente Emplumada Tequila

La Serpiente Emplumada

La Serpiente Emplumada – tequila with ancient roots

Gliding majestically through woods, space and time, Quetzalcoatl, the feathered serpent, god of wisdom and winds lends his image to this tequila brand.

Tequila culture draws upon folklore going back to a time when Mexico didn’t exist, and indian empires flourished with a splendor like Venice in Europe. The myth of Quetzalcoatl lived in different parts of Mesoameria under different names, but even today the power of this god of human wisdom, gives the tequila brand in his name, a certain touch of authenticity.

Brand background

La Serpiente Emplumada comes from the heartland of tequila, Jalisco, and is distilled at NOM 1438, “Destiladora del Valle de Tequila, S.A. de C.V.” just outside the town, Tequila. It is a light and traditional tequila which is produced in four agings: blanco, reposado, anejo and extra anejo.

Overall tasting profile

The blanco and the reposado are really excellent in cocktails, lending their uncomplicated freshness to drinks which might otherwise be too sweet. The anejo and the extra anejo are splendid as sippers, having a strong and satisfactory oak flavour.
