Flor del Desierto has four varieties of sotol: Cedrosanum, Leiophyllum, Texanum, Wheeleri. Just like the agaves used in Mezcal, the Daisilirion has a number of subvarieties which grow in different regions. This “Desierto” is made from Dasylirion Leiophyllum which gives us the elegant and refined complex notes. Sotol of this calibre is not as sweet as tequila can be and not as smoky and strong as Mezcal can be.
It is somehow the best of both worlds with a mind of its own.
