La Medida Mezcal Tobasiche
Flowery, herbal and VERY exquisite and rare mezcal
The Agave Tobasiche towers above most of the other plants in the desert landscape where it grows. It takes about 16 years to mature and is very heavy indeed when it is harvested. La Medida uses earth ovens to cook the agave and traditional tahona to crush the cooked agave.
The Tobasiche has been created by Maestro José Díaz Bustamante. They cook the pinas for 3 days in a traditional horno using oak wood and then ferments and distills. Maestro Mezcaleros from the area who have many years of experience makes sure the mezcal is of the highest quality.
