La Medida Mezcal Madrecuishe
Floral, herbaceous with ephemeral notes of rose gardens
La Medidas Madrecuishe mezcal is made by Maestro Antonio Cortés and his son-in-law Maximino García from El Sauz, Miahutlán south of Oaxaca.
Is truely a – very – small town, but out of it comes this mezcal which is… great. The mezcal is made using traditional production methods like horno de piedra for cooking and tahona for crushing the agaves.
Crystalline in color with platinum sparkles and a round body of a gentle entrance and an intense exhale, this mezcal is premium quality. The area where La
Medida Madrecuishe is grown and harvested is highland, dry and rocky. These conditions can be found in the mineral notes of the spirit. When seeing
the landscape the efflorescent and rich aromatic notes of the mezcal, seems almost contradictory. This is a mezcal for the sipping crowd and those who like
to nip a little in the evening in the company of a good book.
